I was traveling from Savannah Ga, to my Mom’s house in North Carolina for her milestone 70th Birthday festivities and I really didn’t want to do a big birthday cake because she isn’t a big sweet eater, but I did want to give her a little treat. As I was approaching Florence, SC. I pulled over to google some bakeries in the area and Freeman’s Bakery was first on the list and I and so glad that they were. I went to their Facebook page and immediately I knew it was meant to be when I saw the post for all the Blueberry treats they had ready. My Mom’s favorite is any and all things Blueberry so I knew I had to go for the Blueberry pound cake. Upon arriving in the bakery not only did I notice the amazing smell but the space was super nice. There were so many delicious treats to choose from, I was in awe!! The super nice lady gave me such a warm welcome and helped immediately. I told her what I needed and she offered to right Happy Birthday on my Blueberry pound cake. I really appreciated her thinking for me because I was so overwhelmed with all the treats around me. My in store experience was refreshingly welcoming and helpful. Once I got the cake to my Mom’s we couldn’t wait to sample it. This cake did NOT disappoint. It is so moist and absolutely delicious. I could not recommend Freeman’s Bakery enough. I’m so glad I stopped. I can’t wait to visit them again on my frequent trips from Savannah to North Carolina!! Thank you all so much for the exceptional service and the delicious dessert!!
We visited for my husbands 70th birthday! I pre-ordered cheese bread & 6 “special” donuts (2 raspberry filled, 2 lemon filled, 1 chocolate covered peanut butter & 1 chocolate covered custard). My husband wanted a glazed lemon pound cake too! Everything was A+ delicious!!! The donuts must have weighed a pound each & were stuffed full of filling ! The cake was fabulous! The bread was great! I would buy ALL again! Thank you, Bakery staff!! A birthday memory for sure!!
Everyone in that Bakery say hello to you when you walk in and it's a very warm welcome and no matter what item you're looking at to purchase or ask about there's someone there to assist you it's like a family warm comforting place to go and get delicious cookies delicious cupcakes delicious cakes delicious macaron it's just really really a nice atmosphere I would recommend them 100 out of 10 to go visit
Ordered a raspberry Danish and coffee and both were quite tasty. Will stop again next time in Florence. Very friendly place
The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming, and the cashier gave me her own personal recommendation on what she eats most often and also said that everything was good so I got a little bit of a lot!
